Who is Serena Williams? Serena Williams is an American tennis player and has won eight Grand Slam singles titles since her professional debut in 1995 along with an Olympic gold medal in women's doubles. She also holds a record for being the only player in tennis history, male or female, to have all four Grand Slams simultaneously.

Serena Williams turned professional at the age of 14, already having won 46 amateur tournaments before the age of 10. (She only lost three of them!) Serena Williams won her first of many tournaments at the age of four. Though Serena Williams was born in Saginaw, Michigan, she in the Los Angeles suburb of Compton along with four sisters by her parents Richard and Oracene. One of Serena Williams' sisters is Venus Williams, another professional tennis player who has been ranked #1 in the world.

Serena Williams was ranked by Tennis Magazine as the 17th greatest player of the last 40 years. Serena Williams is well known for the very unusual outfits she wears on the court. Some of the more colorful designs have included a leather catsuit (worn at the U.S. Open) as well as a denim skirt with boots. This flare for attire has no doubt earned Serena Williams her own line of clothing at companies Puma and Nike.

Serena Williams has also made several notable appearances in the media and on entertainment shows. She has appeared on such shows as The Simpsons, Punk'd, My Wife and Kids, ER, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. (To whom she lost a fair game of tennis...at least on the Nintendo Wii system) Personally speaking, Serena Williams has been dating actor Jackie Long for a very long time. Which no doubt; doesn't sit well with her millions of racketing fans.
